Sarvam cites Tata Capital achieving a threefold increase in customer engagement through multilingual voice agents, while other deployments supported policy renewals for 45 million policyholders and collected data from 17 million farmers. These applications illustrate the economic proposition: automate large volumes of interactions at low per-unit cost while reaching people in the languages they actually use.

Sarvam offers a full-stack sovereign AI platform spanning foundational models, inference infrastructure, developer APIs, conversational agents, and workflow applications. Its production APIs cover speech-to-text, translation, transliteration, text-to-speech, document understanding, and chat, with models such as Sarvam 30B and 105B, Saaras for speech recognition, Bulbul for speech synthesis, Mayura and Sarvam Translate for language processing, and Sarvam Vision for Indian-language document digitisation. The platform supports more than 22 Indian languages across its broader product suite, with code-mixed and regional speech support.

The delivery model combines self-serve, pay-per-use APIs with enterprise implementation support. Customers can prototype and scale through usage-based plans, while larger deployments receive a dedicated engineer, joint workflow design, ongoing accuracy and cost optimisation, and SLA-backed production support. Sarvam says its serving infrastructure has processed more than 10 billion tokens with median latency below 100 milliseconds and 99.9% uptime, positioning the service as an end-to-end way for enterprises and governments to build and operate Indian-language AI rather than manage models and infrastructure themselves.

Market

Sarvam competes in sovereign AI, Indian-language generative AI, enterprise AI infrastructure, and conversational-agent software. Its closest directly evidenced Indian comparison is Krutrim, which is also described as developing low-cost multilingual models for India; the broader adjacent field includes Indian agentic-AI companies such as Gnani.ai. Sarvam’s differentiation is its integrated stack of Indic models, speech and document capabilities, enterprise applications, and government-oriented deployment, rather than a single general-purpose model or standalone API.

The company is commercial and scaling, not pre-revenue in the ordinary operating sense. In June 2026 it announced a $234 million first close of a $300 million Series B at a $1.5 billion post-money valuation, with HCLTech and Bessemer Venture Partners participating alongside existing investors. Sarvam reported more than 2 million conversational interactions per day, 10 million API calls per day, over 35 million pages digitised, and more than 500,000 hours of audio transcribed monthly, with activity across banking, insurance, government technology, and defence. An Inc42 report citing sources estimated annual revenue at around $12 million, although the company’s official materials do not provide audited financials.
